Since the RAM is d ual channel (2 DIMMs per channel), I'm assuming the config is 8GB in channel A and 4GB in channel B. I could just add 8GB in channel A but I'd rather take the 4GB stick and replace it for a 16GB stick so I'll have further room for improvement in the future. The computer comes with 12 GB but i need at least 16GB- Yes, I tried to buy the 16GB version but wasn't available. I have bought a HP 880-148np OMEN, and I am waiting for delivery.
